AH! Why, iTunes?

Okay, well i guess i have a couple of  complaints about iTunes this week..

Starting with the positive side, i would like to say, good choice on the new main free iTunes song(Go on, Say it-blind pilot)...It's relaxing, and pleasent.

I also enjoy that you have given three free songs a week, rather than one, that is a wonderful idea, and its exciting that there is a higher chance of getting a song you will like.

But, i am rather upset with iTunes on several things:

1. I am not a fan of the "Indie" section of the home page on iTunes. Whoever's idea that was, obviously didn't know much about indie. Indie is more or less a lifestyle, and it is short for the word "independent". "Indie kids" are independent, and just do what they want, and they don't care what others think of them, and they have views of their own, and they are not influenced by the media, and such. This causes them to like music and films and fashion that isn't involved in the media...or cliche things. Just because a flashy sun-glass wearing kid listens to Death Cab For Cutie and Elliot Smith, does not make them an "indie kid". So the reason why i am a bit upset about this "Indie" section,  is because now this music is going out to the media, which is completely contradicting the entire "indie" vibe.

2. I don't understand the reasoning of taking off the "Just For You" section...that was my favorite part of iTunes, and I can't imagine any complaints that it could possibly get. Having iTunes give one recommendations of music one might like, based on what they have bought, is a wonderful idea, and i dont understand why one would deny that idea. This is a very good substitute for the "Indie" section, because if you do listen to that kind of music, that you found on your OWN (Independent person), then they may put indie music there. if one listens to hip-hop or rap, then that section transforms to Rap and Hip-Hop music, which makes that user happy, because they have a section of the genre of music they like.

Sorry, i might not be making much sense, but it is just rather frustrating.
